My stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were tucked away in a basement and had a strong smell initially. The bed broke multiple times, and the staff, especially the guy at the imperial beach bar, were plain rude. However, the location was convenient, being next to the tram to the beach. The dining experience wasn't impressive, but the regional products were decent.
The hotel is not without its drawbacks, but it has some positives too. The rooms were a bit shabby, with broken floor tiles and old furniture. However, the air conditioning worked fine, and we had both hot and cold water in the shower. Be prepared for a lot of steps to get around the Imperial.
